Left unseen

We sit in shared silence 

The sound of my paintbrush melting into the clicking of your keyboard 

Ocean waves at a distance

We shift our attention

Sunlight tickling the birthmark on your nose

Smiles spread over our faces

Paintbrush down 

Laptop closed 

Arms wrap around each other

Our breaths turn into a blizzard

Sweet smell of matcha

The space between us disappears 

Inch by inch 

This will be our first

At last, you pull me in 

Land your lips on top of mine

We kiss like we are trying to undo each other 

Our mouths greedy 

Your hands move hungrily over my body 

Make me feel like home

Lose myself inside of you

To feel less broken

To numb the pain inside my chest 

A way to lighten my sorrow

Falling for you seems easy

Feeling dizzy

Chasing freedom together
